These Historical Markers were
originally placed in the 1970's by the
Donrey Corporation. The company
was the owner of the Guthrie Daily
Leader at the time and the markers
were placed in front of various historic
sites and buildings.

Each marker tells the story of the site
and the people who were influential
in the development of the site.
After many years, however, the markers became worn and difficult
to read. In the 1990's The Logan County Historical Society took on the
task of revitalizing and making repairs to the markers. They are once
again easily read and clearly defined so that tourists and interested
citizens can learn about the buildings in the Historic District as their
own pace.
